One of my best interests in photography is doing bridal portraits. Zakia came to my studio with her beautiful smile, her hair and makeup done. She also brought her wedding dress and her shoes. The session was approximately one month before her wedding! Before the bridal session Zakia and I had a Bridal portrait planning session. During the planning session we both discussed about how to be prepared for her session in advance. We made sure to coordinate with her makeup and hair artist before the portrait session. Since, she beautifully dressed up and completely prepared for the day of her portraits, my goal was to make sure that she looked at her best during her bridal session. My lighting and posing is always the key to make the session the most successful. I planned beforehand how I was going to light her face when it comes to close up and even for the full length portraits. Posing is another crucial part when I put my subject in front of my lenses. Personally, I’m very critical when I pose my subject. I don’t like to see myself in awkward posing when I do our own family portrait or self-portrait. So, I also don’t pose any bride or senior clients the way that they look very awkward and uncomfortable. The posing must go with their personality. Here are some images from our bridal session with Zakia. Here she looked absolutely gorgeous. It was very exciting when she picked one of her favorite images framed canvas by me on the table during her wedding. Unfortunately, I was not able to cover her wedding, but I had fun as a guest with my family watching the new couple starting their new begging of their next chapter.
